ABOUT

Passionate about connecting people & place

What does Dwellbeing mean?

This is my word for what I offer people, it is from a combination of two words: ‘Dwell’ to live in or at a specified place and ‘Wellbeing’- the state of being comfortable, healthy or happy.

I provide experiences and design consultancy both in person and virtually to connect deeper with the place in which you dwell.

It has taken me nearly 30 years to realise that all I do is connected; whether this is making art, writing, designing places to be in, walking with others or running workshops.

My Dwellbeing offer was created in the CV19 lockdown when I had the realisation that my various passions were all connected by observation, imagination and a deep understanding of how people react to place.

About Me

I am an artist, writer and designer. Sunset watcher, cloud spotter, star gazer and mild wild swimmer.

My passion is to encourage people to ‘go out everyday into nature and feed your soul.’ I have always known that being out in nature is good for the soul; I spent time from an early age outdoors, playing, discovering and helping my parents - avid jam and wine makers - to collect wayside harvests. A fond memory of primary school is being taught outside, sitting on grass under a grand oak in the heatwave of 1976.

My background is as an artist who loves to look at things with curiosity and gratitude. I want the world to be appreciated by all, seen less as a set of resources but as the beautiful, harmonious enchanting wonder that it is. I try to walk lightly on the earth and encourage others to do so too.

I have spent over 25 years working as a spatial designer, designing interiors for commercial and domestic customers. During this time I have worked out what it is that helps us create more connection and gain increased enjoyment from the places in which we live, work and play.
